HI, I'M EMILY EDWARDS, I ATTEND BENTONVILLE HIGH SCHOOL AS A SOPHMORE. I AM ON THE CHEER TEAM, S2S MENTORING, AND TIGER BUDDIES.I ADORE THE MISS AMERICA ORGANIZATION; IT HAS TAUGHT ME HOW TO BE A SOPHISTICATED, POISED, AND CONFIDENT WOMAN. I WOULD NOT BE WHERE I AM TODAY WITHOUT THE ENDLESS LOVE AND SUPPORT FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS. GOD HAS BLESSED ME WITH SO MUCH AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR WHAT HE HAS IN STORE FOR ME.
My platform is One Child At A Time "Embracing Special Needs" and it is where I volunteer my time in the Special Olympics and other organizations.There are many thousands of disabilities and impairments. Some are caused by genetics, while others occur later in life.As many as one out of five children have a learning disability. My goal is to impact children's lives and act as a role model for them as well. I chose this platform because I have two members of my family with autism, which really sparked my interest in wanting to become involved. I want to raise more awareness to this topic throughout my community and get more teens to become involved.
